Carl
Strecker was born in Los Angeles and grew up in San Diego before he
studied theater and film at Pomona College in Claremont, California.
He appeared in a number of college theater and film productions including
the title role in “Julius Caesar,” and directed several
short films and stage productions, including a student production of
“Equus.” After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater
in 1994, Carl appeared in the independent films “Shiner,”
“Hunting of Man,” and “Bloody Murder 2.” In
2000, he played the lead in the political thriller "Eruptions,"
an original play which ran six weeks at the Century City Playhouse in
Los Angeles. His award-winning tsunami relief documentary feature "Becoming
Family" was released on DVD in 2008 and premiered on television
in 2009. As he pursued these achievements he also built a strong business
resume working in marketing and sales at The Walt Disney Company, Sony
Pictures, Paramount, Variety, and Netflix.
