Carl
Strecker is a native of San Diego, California, and studied theater and
film at Pomona College in Claremont, California. He appeared in a number
of college theater and film productions including the title role in
“Julius Caesar,” and directed several short films and stage
productions, including a student production of “Equus.”
After graduating Pomona College with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater in
1994, Carl appeared in the independent films “Shiner,” “Hunting
of Man,” and “Bloody Murder 2: Closing Camp.” In 2000,
he played the lead in the political thriller "Eruptions,"
an original play which ran six weeks at the Century City Playhouse.
As he pursued these artistic achievements he also cultivated a successful
marketing and sales career at The Walt Disney Company, Sony Pictures,
Paramount, Reed Business Information, and Netflix. The documentary feature
“Becoming Family” marks his professional feature directorial
debut, and he is currently working on two feature screenplays.
